About Us
A dream for 10+ years, A LITTLE MAD opened its doors on Saturday, May 26, 2012, and marked the beginning of a dream realized. Our friends and family always said they would know we had gone "a little mad" if we ever made the leap and opened the shop we had kept talking about for years. When the task came to name the shop, it felt as if it had named itself - 'A LITTLE MAD' and the adventure began with our retail location in Bar Harbor, Maine.
A LITTLE MAD is filled with items that celebrate handmade, whimsical in spirit, positive but like life, often with a twist. In our brick-and-mortar location, we feature over 100 artists' and vendors' creations. There is something to be found for anyone looking for something unique.
Our physical shop in Bar Harbor opens seasonally, May - October.
